Hadrians Wall

Buliding Hadrians Wall began about 122 AD, eventually spanning 73 miles over northern England from coast to coast. It was still in use during the fifth century when the Romans decided to abandon Britain. Most of Hadrians Wall today consists of substantial ruins. Some sections of the wall have been rebuilt and others restored to demonstrate how impenetrable and menacing the wall must have been.
