Scenery includes: wonderful open views of the surrounding countryside, towns and villages; great views along the ridge of the Malvern Hills; views of Herefordshire Beacon with the Iron Age Fort British Camp on top; Malvern Hills Ridge from below; and some lovely buildings. You may also see horses in fields.

Route finding is easy with good waymarking and obvious landmarks. The terrain includes: hill paths and tracks with some alternative wider gravel or tarmac paths; some steep ascents and descents; some woodland and field paths; plus some steps, tarmac path and country lanes. Starting and ending in Great Malvern, you visit the Malvern Hills ridge; Worcestershire Beacon and Summer Hill; Upper Wyche and several more hills; Colwall Station and St Ann’s Well.

Scenery includes: wonderful open views of the surrounding countryside and local towns and villages, including Great Malvern; lovely views along the Malvern Hills ridge, including Herefordshire Beacon with the British Camp Iron Age Fort on the summit; views of the Malvern Hills Ridge from below; plus some lovely buildings, including St Ann’s Well. You may also see some horses in the local fields.

Great Malvern

Great Malvern is an area of Malvern, a spa town in the county of Worcestershire, England. It is located at the foot of the Malvern Hills, on the east flanks of Worcestershire Beacon and North Hill. It is the historic centre of Malvern and has its town centre. It is also a designated conservation area, recognizing the special architectural and historic interest of the area.

The Malvern Hills range of hills span the counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and a small part of Gloucestershire. This range of hills which look like mini-mountains with pointy summits which offer great walking with wonderful views and dominate the surrounding countryside, towns and villages. The Malvern Hills are also designated as a Biological and Geological Site of Special Scientific Interest, a National Character Area and and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The hills run from north to south for about 8 miles, between Great Malvern and Colwall village. The highest summit of the hills is Worcestershire Beacon at 425 metres which provides a panorama of the Severn valley with the hills of Herefordshire and the Welsh mountains, parts of thirteen counties and the Bristol Channel.
