Magellan GPS – eXplorist Range
The Magellan GPS eXplorist range is aimed people taking part in outdoor activities. The whole range of eXplorist models are waterproof (IPX-7), offering a robust design with a colour screen at the heart of the device, together with bottom loop that makes it easy to attach it so that you do not mislay it.
The entry-level model is dedicated to geocaching, the eXplorist GC, a device featuring a 2.2-inch display and easy controls. Then there is the 100 and 310 models and stepping up the range the other models are the eXplorist 510, 610 and 710. Each step in the range offers increased features.
The 510, 610 and 710 have a 3-inch touchscreen, a camera, speaker and microphone. The latter features enable the making of voice notes and taking fast photos which are geotagged. The 610 and 710 have more enhanced navigation features such as a 3-axis electronic compass, barometric altimeter and a Summit Series Topographical map.
